MAYOR, PRINCETON NC

Donald B. Rains is currently Mayor of the Town of Princeton, NC and is partner in Community Hardware, LLC, a True Value store.  He is married to Vicky Temple Rains and has 2 children.  In a prior career he managed human resources insurance programs and had a 20-year relationship with Community Workforce Solutions. 


He currently serves as Board Chairperson and has served various positions on the board since appointment in 2015.

SARA MESSINA

Sara Messina is an attorney living in Raleigh.  She has first-hand experience working with people with disabilities.  A benign medical condition of her own drove her to raise awareness of the unique perspective and needs people with disabilities face.  She gave speeches and demonstrations starting in grade school, and has a keen and ardent interest in continuing to serve the disabled community.


JACKIE JACKSON

WCPSS SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER (RETIRED)

Jackie Jackson is a retired Wake County Public Schools Special Education teacher. For over 40 years she has worked with multiple types of middle school disabled students and their families.


She has served as a member of the Vance County Board of Education, the Vance County Education Foundation, and has been involved in a number of  leadership positions with local community organizations and PTA  groups in various schools. She is also a member of Alpha Delta Kappa International Teaching Sorority.


The mission of Community Workforce Solutions is dear to her because she knows that employment for individuals with disabilities is vitally important not only to clients, but to the community as well. 


Jackie has four grown sons and enjoys spending time with family and friends,  gardening, singing, and reading.


JESSICCA WILKIE

HANSEN, HOWELL & WILKIE, PLLC

Jessica Wilkie is an attorney practicing in Raleigh.  Her interest in serving on the CWS board stems from her experience as court-appointed counsel for clients with disabilities, addictions, and mental health issues. Jessica has been a board member since 2017 and is currently serving on the Executive Board as Treasurer. 


Jessica lives in Hillsborough with her husband and children; she enjoys gardening, camping, and watching her alma mater (Duke) play basketball.


PATRICK G. GILLIARD

DUKE ENERGY

Native of Charleston, South Carolina, He earned a BS. Degree in Education The CITADEL, in 1975. Commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the US Air Force in 1975, He went on to serve his country giving sixteen years of military service. His Military decorations include Air Force Meritorious service medal, Air Force Commendation Medal 2 -oak leaf cluster, Air Force Achievement Medal. 


Pat is 26-year employee of Duke Energy, the largest electric utility in the US. He is a Sr. Account manager in the Large Account Management Department with responsibility for 78 Customers and more than 10,000 accounts which includes all of NC State Agencies, US Veterans Administration Hospitals, News and Observer and State Employee Credit Union.


Pat has been involved in a number of professional and civic organizations. He has been a member of the Executive Board of Community Work force Solutions for 14 years to include having been Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Executive Board of Directors for CWS.  He is a member of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce; member of North Carolina Association of Economic Developers; past Chairman of the National PanHellenic Council of Greater Raleigh; member Of American Association of Blacks In Energy (AABE).


JAY NAMBI

METLIFE, INC 

Jay Nambi is a Security & Risk Executive and Security Auditor in Cary, NC, and has held leadership positions in a variety of industries.

His interest in serving on the Board of Community Workforce Solutions (CWS) arose from the mission of CWS and the key role that it plays in our community.


Jay enjoys spending time with his family, and his passions include reading, music, languages, cultures, traveling and food.
